SWEET SOAPSTONE LARGE SCULPTURE CARVING - MOTHER AND CHILD - SIGNED RP - CIRCA 1960

Sweet, high quality, beautifully carved soapstone large 14 inch tall sculpture weighing 57 pounds of a mother and child, signed R P in block letters.
The soapstone graining is exquisite, being finely and professionally carved with the smoothest lines and wonderful detail.
The estate was told that this piece was exhibited in a Newport, Rhode Island gallery with the artist having affiliations in Arizona. Someone out there may be happy to share the name and more information on this talented artist.
A beautiful piece which is in fine condition, having no chips, cracks or repairs, having a few minor scratches mainly in the arm as the photos show.

SHIPPING TERMS: Buyer prepays item, plus shipping, insurance and Delivery Confirmation on this item. All our shipping is done USPS Priority Mail, Insured Delivery Confirmation. International shipments are by Global Express. International and other shipments may run more, but always only what it costs us for shipping and packing materials. (Please note, shipments to Italy are by UPS only.)

With a personal check, shipment will be made within 10 days of receipt. With money orders, shipment will be made within 4 working days of receipt, unless there is an unusual circumstance.

All items are extremely well packed, which adds to the weight of the shipment. No returns on any items, unless we have misstated something in the listing. The cost of shipping back and forth on any item returned is the responsibility of the buyer.
